MPA's purpose is to bring individuals and organizations together to realize shared goals. We focus on leadership development to increase the number of community leaders prepared to work for positive social change.

The League of Women Voters of Maine is a nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. We never support or oppose any political party or candidate.

The NAACP is a non-profit, non-partisan organization with a mission to ensure the economic, political, and social rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and discrimination.
